The Conservative Shadow Chancellor, George Osborne MP, presented a ‘new economic blueprint’ last week in a bid to end confusion over Tory economic policy.

George Osborne says that he would outline his spending cut plans in an emergency budget after a hypothetical Conservative election victory. I’m sorry but that’s just not acceptable. It is the duty of all parties to present a clear and consistent economic vision to the British people before the election!

Wolverhampton was one of the first Fairtrade cities in the country, assisted by the Midcounties Co-operative and an excellent local group that works hard. We have Fairtrade fortnight coming up this month. Will the Government tell me what more they are doing to promote Fairtrade?

One difficulty shoppers have is avoiding illegally produced goods from Israeli colonies, often called settlements, in the west bank. What are the Government doing to ensure that that illegally produced and exported food either does not enter the United Kingdom or, if it does, is properly labelled so that consumers like me can avoid it?
